Down the narrow path
Dark stone rising
To either side
Leaden legged
Sweat soaked
Suffocating
Dark
The wrong path
The way back
Too steep
Too strewn with hazards
Loose rocks
Pits
No way
To turn back
To retrace
Unwise steps
Only despair as a traveling companion
Forward
Down
The wrong way
Suddenly
To the side
An opening
Light
Fresh air
Turn
Turn
Turn
There is a way
To turn
To move
To choose
Another way
You slide through the opening
The way
Now
Is
Also steep
Also difficult
But
There is light
There is air
Rejoice!
Dance upward
On worn out legs
Pirouette
On aching feet
The way will not be easy
But
It is the right way

Darkness enfolds
You have done
Wrong
Badly
Selfishly
Even
Evilly
At last
At last
When you know
It is too late
You are too far gone
There is no hope
You put on
The white burial shroud
You cover yourself
With
Dirt
Shame
Regret
You know
You will be
Judged
Condemned
Found wanting
With the
Slightest
Merest
Smallest
Motion
Of your hand
You seek to
Change
Make amends
Repair
Suddenly
The Judge
Swifter than
Eagles
Lightening
Thought
Grasps that hand
Pours into you
Resolve
Meaning
Holiness
And adds
Infinite strength
To your meager supply
To lift you up
To help you stand
Rejoice!
You have a choice
Your shroud whirls around you
As you join
The maidens
In their dance
The dust
On your head
Slides off
Becomes one
With the clouds
Raised by
Dancing feet

Even when
The gates of prayer
Seem locked
The gates
Of repentance
Appear closed
The gates
Of tears
Are
Always open

Thus
Let your
Weeping
Turn
To rejoicing
Your sorrow
To dance

For you can
Choose
You can always
Adjust
Your
Aim

The archer
May
Miss
And miss
And miss
Yet
Step
By
Step
Adjustment
By
Adjustment
Turn
By
Turn
His aim
Improves
Never perfect
But
Better

Practice virtue
To become
Virtuous
The reward
For a mitzvah
Is a mitzvah

Sing
For
You may choose.
Dance
Because
You may
Repent

You can
Always
Turn to the light
Find a new path

How great is our
G!D
We are not
Puppets
We are not
Trapped
Rejoice!
The Holy Flow
Never ceases
We need
But
Drink
And
Sing
And
Dance.
